My goals pertaining to the Designer standard will be that I will use learning tools such as Adobe Express to accommodate and create interactive activities that my students can do independently. I will utilize these tools to help encourage them to come in to class each day and know what to get started on and to be able to do it without me having to walk them through it repeatedly. This encourages independent learning and also helps me to accommodate the tools for those student’s who need modifications. (2.5a)
I will design quizzes and assessments that will help me to see if my student’s know how to apply their knowledge that they have learned. I will use this not only with multiple choice questions but also with short answer questions and some fill in the blanks. I will create these quizzes authentically by writing the questions based off of what we have been learning in the previous classes. It will be current and will focus only on the things that we been studying. (2.5b)
As an educator, as I learn I will also encourage my student’s to learn. I will give them opportunities to learn how to use new tools such as Canva, Sandbox, and Adobe Express. Not only does this help give me tools to use for my instruction and teaching but it also gives them tools to use when they are creating projects, applying their knowledge into graphics, etc. (2.5c)
At the end of the semester I plan to provide some quizzes and assessments to show how my students can apply their knowledge. I also will create an assignment that encourages my student’s to utilize their digital knowledge to create an infographic of some sort to organize and summarize what they have learned on a specific topic. I also will provide a warm up example that my student’s will use to show their independence and being self sufficient.
